Numerical Study on Hydrodynamics of Submerged Permeable Breakwater under Impacts of Focused Wave Groups Using a Nonhydrostatic Wave Model

چکیده

Extreme waves, called rogue waves or freak usually occur unexpectedly and with very large wave heights. In recent years, extreme were reported not only in deep ocean waters but also shallow waters, which threaten the safety intactness of coastal regions. To prevent infrastructures communities from devastating power surges many defense structures built along coastline, i.e., submerged permeable breakwaters. However, number studies on hydrodynamic characteristics a breakwater under impact is relatively few. addition, focusing has been widely used to generate past few decades. Hence, as necessary supplement previous research work, performance impacts focused groups was numerically studied by using nonhydrostatic numerical model (NHWAVE). The influences several main factors, such incident significant height, water depth, peak period, porosity (n), side slope angle breakwater, considered. It expected that results this study will further strengthen conditions.
